Rundgren in Clearwater, Florida

Todd played an incredible show at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida on the 21st of May. His set was mostly material from the Liars CD, which were performed eloquently and with power and grace. The stage setup was really interesting. Each band member had peformed in a light box (each his own sort of stage) that had light panels that flashed rainbow colors to the music. Fantastic visually as well as musically. It is a night I will remember for a very long time. It was great to see Kasim perform again as well. This was my 23rd Todd/Utopia Concert since 1973. The only bad thing about the concert was that there were a lot of empty seats and the Ruth Eckerd Hall is a fairly small venue. It is really sad that so few seem to appreciate such a musical genius that is so rare to find in these times. On top of that, the ticket prices were very low, only $30 a seat! What a deal!!!!
