Drove down to mohegan sun in Uncasville,Ct; The gambling mecca of the Constitution State (or at least one of them!)

Got there at about 5, and much to my surprise, the line to get into Wolf's Den to see Todd was already 100 feet long at 5:30, two and a half hours before the show! I was worried I wouldn't get a seat after the long drive from Boston, but after waiting until about 7pm and enduring the incessant noise of slot machine and chaos from the nearby craps and poker tables we were let in i was disappointed that after waiting for two hours in line the entire floor section was "given" away to the stupid high rollers who probably have no idea who Todd is and I guess also any member of the Mohegan tribe;

Anyway, onto to the show!

It was good; Todd sounded hoarse in the first 30 minutes or so , but after he mentioned this was his 5th gig in 5 days I completely understood! As the night went on, his voice got much stronger, and it turned out to be a really good show!

He opened with "Lysistrata"-nice surprise. Let's see; Cliche, Love of the Common man ,I don't want to tie you down, an AWESOME Bang on the Drum on the Ukulele, other nice surprises like Lucky Guy, Influenza, Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider, a sincere, extended version of Hello, It's me,

he closed with One World and the encore was a dream goes on forever;

Nice variety in this show: Jesse Gress played guitar for about a 1/ 2 of the show and he did a great job. I was sort of feeling sad about the fact that Todd was trying to do his thing while literally being surrounded by the constant cling and rattle of Wheel of Fortune and video poker machines, but I tried to just let my reservations go and just relax and enjoy the show. it was a solid and strong performance; Really liked the surprises of Lucky Guy and influenza;

He was in a good mood; he looked sharp in his tan suit, and made a lot of the jokes with the crowd.

I agree with the other reviewer that I would rather pay ANYTIME, anywhere to see Todd in a less distracting environment, but I am glad I got to see him on this tour;;

By the way, these two guys in front of me in line were pretty funny when they thought they were saying hi to Todd as he passed us in line when actually Jesse Gress!

Hope to see Todd again soon, as always, and maybe even a power trio or some type of utopia reunion???? maybe?????

Thanks Todd for swinging by New England on your recent tour! You are the best! We love you!
