WOW.

From everything that I have read, seen and heard, this show was destined to be a "classic".  Every Todd show is more of an "experience" than a concert.

My 28th Todd experience was just that, an emotional, passionate musical odyssey that continually transcends the typical musical outlet that some of today's performers take for granted.

Every one of the 1001 seats in the Ohio Theater have been sold out for months, tickets were being purchased on the street for $100.00 plus Sunday evening. The Playhouse Square Center, which hosts the Ohio Theater, is the largest performing arts complex in the United States outside of New York City. The Ohio proved to be quintessential venue for Mr. Rundgren.

Todd wasn't flawless but was the master of his domain. Even with a newly damaged, then bandaged finger, he was able to provide us with over 2 hours of solo acoustic entertainment. VH1 would do well to feature Todd in their "Storytellers" format. From the first strum of "Lysistrata" to the hand shaking end of " A Dream Goes on Forever" Todd truly enveloped each of us with music that will forever benchmark these periods in our lives.

A few of the Ohio Theater's usually professionally focused and subdued ushers were singing and dancing in the aisles during the second encore. Todd had successful worked his magic for the people, as he said, "Were among the first to recognize his genius."

Tonight's audience was the usual, interesting mix of the TRI fan club.  There were third generation fans in attendance with their parents, to those that discovered Todd during the peak Utopia days,  to those of us who were there from the beginning of the NAZZ evolution - we all enjoyed sharing the evening with Todd.

There were fans who were disappointed that "Just One Victory" did not end the show, however most were among the crowd that were thrilled to hear "Lunatic Fringe", "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", "What's Going On" and a moving version of "Beloved Infidels".

Cleveland holds a special place in Todd's heart as he does in ours.

Royston Langdon, the husband of Liv Tyler "Rundgren" opened the show. We may be hearing more from him in the not too distant future.
