Dallas 3-29 show

I had seen Todd in concert around a dozen times in the '70s, '80s, and early '90s, but for whatever reason had not caught his show in about 10 years. I was quickly reminded at the Dallas show, despite the crappy bar it was held, why I've always enjoyed Todd, and why he is such a dramatic live performer. I remarried in December of last year, and my new wife has always complained when I played any of my many Todd CDs, but I dragged her to the concert amid protest. After the show she finally saw the light and came to understand what Todd is all about and why people enjoy his show. Todd simply has a good time and makes sure everyone else does. I had never seen Todd solo, and really would perfer to hear a full band, but this was nice. Despite the noise of the bar, Todd was great. His voice of course is not a strong as it was years ago, but then who complains when you get to see a rock legend like Todd, Dylan, ect. He stumbled around a bit, with some fits, and stops on some songs, and that was a bit troublesome. He stopped mid-song several times to aplogize for losing his place on the piano or guitar. Frankly, I think he could have just played through the flubs and it would have been smoother and few would have noticed much. I know that Todd gets tired of playing Hello It's Me, but I had a hard time understanding how he "got lost" playing that one. But over all, it was a terrific time. His voice gain strength as he went through the show, and constantly had banter with the audience that was fun. Some of the hightlights to me included One World, I Saw The Light, and The Wheel. I will denfitely not wait another 10 years to see Todd again.
