Hello fellow Utopians. This is John Powhida who opened the show at Northern Lights. I want to thank all of you who watched my set and bought a c.d. or just said an encouraging word. I had a blast and thank you for making my night very special. Jeff Bussman was correct in his review that my material can be "interesting and bizarre", and it makes me all the more appreciative that you checked me out. As for Todd, I find his recent performances warm, fun and inviting. There was much good communal vibes in the room, and if someone had told me 15 years ago we would be singing along and sharing our voices with Todd's in such an intimate environment I wouldn't have believed it and would have thought it most cool. The man has enriched our lives forever and there is nothing wrong with giving a little back. Besides all that he looks and sounds great and is still the one and only! He'll mystify us again on his own terms, and when he wants to. In the meantime as he plays "compassion" think about what an exceptional piece of music that is and sit back with a beverage and consider yourself a "lucky guy" or "gal".Thanx again.
