Interestingly enough, the song Todd had the hardest time with was 'I Saw The Light', the middle lead.
Some observations:
- We didn't know we could get a room at the Taj until that Thursday, so
our tickets were two rows from the back. We cannot remember the last
time we saw Todd where we weren't 15 feet away. 25 feet tops. Even the
last time we saw Ringo with Todd. We felt miles away and could just see
a small Todd playing. The arena was huge and I estimate there were over
2200 people there. I guess what I'm saying is that the closeness of a
"Todd" concert, IMHO, is totally lost in these large settings. I just
didn't feel the same.
- One of the most inetersting things to watch are the people themselves. The age ranges were very wide, down to kids even. Lots of old hippies, I can tell you that ;-)
- The general lack of response from the crowd to some REAL good musicians playing some REAL good music. They just didn't move. It was the first time we saw 'Hammer In My Heart' live, with the crowd just sitting there. And not to just Todd, all of the musicians.
Anyway, Todd's only going to get better and hearing him play the electric again, with a wah wah no less, is well worth going to this concert. We had a lot of fun, even though we were miles away! - Lee
